About

Family days out, easier to find

The Playmap brings together places and events for families across Melbourne, so you can spend less time searching and more time choosing what works.

Why The Playmap exists

Finding something to do with kids often means jumping between maps, venue websites, event listings, council pages and social media. The Playmap brings that into one place and makes it easier to browse, compare and save.

More useful than a list of places

Search by location, activity, age, timing and the practical details that matter to your family. Browse playgrounds, cafés, museums, indoor activities and weekend events without starting from scratch every time.

Built for family decisions

Practical information is included where it's available, including toilets, fencing, shade, pram access, cost and whether a place is indoors or outdoors. Details can change, so it's always worth checking with the venue before making a special trip.

Better with local knowledge

The Playmap is designed to get better as more parents use it. Parents can suggest places, events and updates, adding the local details that are hard for any one person or source to capture. Every contribution is checked before it is published, and I make the final call.

Who built it

The Playmap is built by one Melbourne parent who got tired of piecing together family outings from half a dozen different sources. It's independent and built to make finding things to do with kids simpler and more useful.
