How places get on here
Listings are built from Google Places and local sources such as council pages, venue websites and family guides. I check whether each place is genuinely useful for families, including age fit, practical facilities and the reason to visit. If the family case is unclear, it does not go in.
I don't visit every venue or contact each one before it's listed. With thousands of places, that would not be realistic. I check available sources and take a closer look at anything uncertain before it's published.
Keeping details current
The Playmap is carefully checked, but it is not a live verification system. Opening hours refresh from Google frequently. Family details are reviewed when a parent flags a change and on a rolling cycle. Events are checked before they are published and removed when they end. Hours change, playgrounds close for maintenance and events move without notice. Always check with the venue before you travel, especially if there is a cost or a longer drive involved.
