Kyabram Fauna Park

Explore native wildlife among bushland and wetlands, including walk-through kangaroo areas and aviaries where children can look for birds close by. The park also has a splash-play area with fountains and jets, sandpits and picnic lawns, making it more than an animal-viewing stop. Check the splash park’s seasonal opening before packing swimwear. Paths allow wheelchairs and strollers, but are gravelled and uneven in places. This is a regional outing in Kyabram, not a Melbourne zoo branch; animal encounters are separate from ordinary admission. Families can also explore the Reptile Habitat and Hazelman’s Cottage with the Transport Through Time historic precinct; the volunteer-run historic precinct is advertised as open daily from 10am to 4pm.
