Melbourne Museum

Melbourne Museum in Carlton combines dinosaurs, natural history, First Peoples exhibitions, Melbourne history and a living forest with a dedicated Pauline Gandel Children’s Gallery for babies to five-year-olds. Our Wondrous Planet features more than 800 animal specimens from the museum’s collections, with hands-on activities and immersive displays exploring their habitats. The Children’s Gallery adds hands-on play, a dinosaur dig and outdoor discovery garden to the broader museum experience. Bugs Alive combines live insects and preserved specimens, while the Forest Gallery has wrens, finches and skinks to look for. The dinosaur galleries include real fossils, including the Triceratops specimen Horridus.
