Monash Earth Sciences Garden
Botanic gardenClaytonSouth East
An outdoor geological garden on Monash University’s Clayton campus, with nearly 500 rock specimens arranged like a living map of Victoria among native plants associated with each region. Families can compare the colours, shapes and textures of volcanic rocks, sedimentary rocks and fossil-bearing limestone while following the paths. It is primarily a university teaching landscape rather than a staffed children’s attraction, but visitors can explore the outdoor setting. Toilets and pram access are available.
