Riverside Park is a riverside playground in Aberfeldie with a second climbing area, picnic facilities, barbecues and toilets. Its timber Black Sapphire pirate ship is currently closed because of extensive timber decay. Council announced on 28 October 2026 that the ship will be removed over summer 2026–27; the remaining play equipment and park infrastructure will stay available.
Good to know
- The playground sits beside the Maribyrnong River and is not fully fenced from the water, so younger children need close supervision.
